No. Professional Organizing is NOT a cleaning service. A professional organizer will assist you in assessing your space and eliminating unwanted items, propose storage solutions, and implement systems and processes that will allow you to maintain an organized space.
There is no such thing as a "typical" session. Everyone is different, and their situations are all different. However, the process goes as follows:
Phone consultation: The initial free phone consultation will give us a good understanding of your situation, the problems that you are encountering, the areas of your home or office that you would like to start with, etc.
Working Session: This is the nitty-gritty part of it. You and the PO will work together to sort through ALL the items in the space, purge all unnecessary items, containerize the remaining items, and implement the systems to maintain the space. This process can be grueling, emotionally painful, and dirty. But in the end, you will come away feeling relieved, more balanced, and more in control of your life.
Maintenance: Some clients require assistance with the maintenance. After all, this is a new way of life for many, and must be learned. Simple Harmony Organizing is happy to help as long as necessary until the systems and processes become habit.
There is no standard for how long it will take. There are many factors that affect how long it will take to organize a space. The size of the space, how much stuff is in the space, and most importantly, how quickly you can make decisions on whether or not things can be eliminated.
At Simple Harmony Organizing, we work in blocks of 4 hours minimum.
